Tour Description
Set out on an Aurora hunting adventure in the comfort of our car, exploring the polar night in search of the dazzling Northern Lights. The Rovaniemi area quite often has cloudy weather, and light pollution is strong in the village area. We recommend taking an Aurora tour — a professional guide can help you find the Northern Lights and take the best memorable photos.
Why by car rather than snowmobile?
- In a car, the search area is much wider — the probability of finding the Northern Lights is higher.
- Temperature outside does not affect your comfort. You can always warm up in the car if it gets cold.
- Children and adults can nap in the car during long evening tours.
- If activity is high, it is easy to move to several different photography locations quickly.
Meeting Point
We use only Toyota vehicles, keeping group sizes small for maximum comfort. Please be ready on time — we have multiple pickups and cannot wait for late arrivals. Pickup times before tour start:
- Santa Claus Village — 35–30 min before departure
- Arktikum / City Centre — 25–20 min before departure
Important Notes
- This activity requires a minimum of 3 bookings to take place.
- By participating you agree that photos taken on the trip may be used publicly on the activity provider's website and social media channels.
- Northern Lights are an unpredictable natural phenomenon. Safaris are designed to give you the best opportunity to observe them, but we cannot guarantee a sighting. We always recommend checking the latest weather forecast.
- Consider whether this activity is suitable for young children — it takes place in the evening and lasts several hours.
- Be at the meeting point 25–5 minutes before departure, depending on your pickup location.
- Late arrival results in cancellation of the excursion without compensation.
- If weather conditions make it unlikely to see the Northern Lights, we will cancel the tour and provide a full refund.

Miksi autolla eikä moottorikelkalla?
- Autolla etsintäalue on huomattavasti laajempi — todennäköisyys löytää revontulet on korkeampi.
- Ulkona oleva lämpötila ei vaikuta matkan mukavuuteen. Autoon voi aina mennä lämmittelemään.
- Lapset ja aikuiset voivat torkkua autossa pitkien ilta- ja yöretkien aikana.
- Jos revontulien aktiivisuus on korkea, useisiin kuvauspaikkoihin on helppo siirtyä nopeasti.
Kokoontumispaikka
Käytämme ainoastaan Toyota-autoja, jotta ryhmäkoot pysyvät pieninä kaikkien mukavuuden takaamiseksi. Olehan ajoissa valmiina — meillä on useita noutokohteita eikä viivästymiseen ole aikaa. Noutoajat ennen kierroksen alkua:
- Joulupukin Paja — 35–30 min ennen lähtöä
- Arktikum / Kaupunkikeskusta — 25–20 min ennen lähtöä
Tärkeää huomioida
- Toiminta vaatii vähintään 3 varaajaa.
- Osallistumalla hyväksyt sen, että retkellä otetut kuvat saatetaan julkaista palveluntarjoajan verkkosivuilla ja sosiaalisen median kanavissa.
- Revontulet ovat arvaamaton luonnonilmiö. Safarimme antaa sinulle parhaat mahdollisuudet nähdä ne, mutta emme valitettavasti voi taata havainnointia. Suosittelemme tarkistamaan aina uusimman säätiedotuksen.
- Harkitse, sopiiko tämä toiminta nuorille lapsille — retki on iltaisin ja kestää useita tunteja.
